The Raymond Peters Memorial Conservation Scholarship was set up by Yuma County Conservation District to help students attend post-secondary education in the areas of conservation and/or natural resources. The student must reside in the Yuma County Conservation District.


The scholarship shall be awarded by the Selection Committee to worthy graduates who major in conservation and/or natural resources at an accredited public or private school.


The student must have a minimum high school grade point average of 2.0 or higher to be eligible to apply.


A maximum of $4,000.00 will be awarded. The amount of the scholarship will be prorated based on the program the student attends. It will be payable in the amount of $500.00 per semester for eight semesters. Scholarship recipients must maintain a 2.0 or higher GPA in college to keep receiving the scholarship. A transcript must be provided at the end of each semester. If the student changes from a conservation and/or natural resources major, future payments of the scholarship will be forfeited.
