Eastern redbud is a vase-shaped tree known for its vibrant pink or white blooms that appear in early spring before its leaves. Growing up to 30 feet tall, this multi-trunked tree thrives with several hours of sunlight. It is adaptable to various soil types and can withstand both hot summers and cold winters, making it a versatile choice for many gardens. After flowering, eastern redbud produces green pods containing black seeds, and its colorful blossoms are known to attract hummingbirds and butterflies.
