About the event

The Yuma County Conservation District (YCCD) will hold its Annual Meeting on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 5:30pm at the Kirk Lions Hall in Kirk, Colorado.

A free dinner will begin the evening followed by the awards from the 2023 Conservation District Poster Contest to students from Liberty, Idalia and Wray. Participants who received scholarships from the YCCD will give a presentation on what they learned while attending Camp Rocky this past summer. Following the awards and Camp Rocky presentation, Rod Lenz from the Republican River Water Conservation District will hold a discussion regarding Well Retirements in Yuma County. Next, we will have a presentation discussing the first-year grazing results from the Bonny Reservoir Grazing Project. Lastly, an annual meeting will be conducted to close out the evening.
