About The Event

Join us for a producer workshop on Friday June 17, 2022 to see test plot results and discuss a cheatgrass rangeland herbicide.  In the summer 2020 the active ingredient indaziflam (RejuvraTM) was approved by the Environmental Protection Agency for use on rangelands, CRP, and natural areas. Indaziflam’s mode of action inhibits cellulose biosynthesis in seedlings, making it an effective pre-emergent herbicide for annuals such as cheatgrass, a non-native winter annual grass. Cheatgrass is the most widespread invasive plant in the western U.S.

This herbicide provides multiple years of invasive annual grass (cheatgrass, jointed goatgrass, feral rye) control and noxious broadleaf weeds with a single application. We will also discuss a new rangeland digital tool called RangeView for cheatgrass detection and post-treatment monitoring. Combine the new digital planning tools of RangeView with the long-lasting effects of Rejuvra herbicide for unrivaled cheatgrass control! This powerful approach can restore your rangelands, reestablish native species and increase forage quality for successful rangeland restoration and overall better ROI.

The workshop is June 17 beginning at the Quintech in Yuma (529 N. Albany Street) at 9:00am, followed by field tours. There is no charge for this event. For additional information and to RSVP, please contact Tanya Fell at the Yuma County Conservation District at 970-332-3107 ext. 101.
